Resolution Services :: who we are

The company is owned and managed by mediator/facilitator Ron Monk. It is supported by a number of associates in the fields of law, psychology, accounting, systems management, organizational development and land use.

Ron Monk Mediator/facilitator Ron Monk has successfully mediated a wide variety of disputes, including family, child protection, land use, business, neighbourhood and workplace issues.

Ron has a background in broadcast communications, business and non-profit management. He became interested in the field of dispute resolution in the 1980's, and received his Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of B.C. Further training included skills and knowledge for commercial mediation through the B.C. International Commercial Arbitration Centre, screening for abuse and control, organizational intervention and mediation in cross-cultural settings.

As a trainer, Ron has worked throughout Canada, the United States, and Great Britain. He has provided instruction in dispute resolution, mediation and negotiation skills to many diverse groups including government agencies, educators, business executives, lawyers, counsellors, public works supervisors, fire and police officers, forestry workers and environmentalists. He has been an instructor with the Justice Institute of B.C. since 1991.

Ron is a member of Family Mediation Canada, Conflict Resolution Network Canada, and is a past Board member of the Mediation Development Association of B.C.
